WaysOnline introductions |
|
As some reasons, we can not communicate internet directly using TCP/IP. So we need some tools transform TCP/IP to HTTP, etc.
SocksOnline provider a local proxies including Socks, HTTP, Port Mapping, DNS Queries. If your application can't not take advantages of HTTP protocols, SocksOnline can make them work. Such as Outlook, FTP, PCAnywhere, ICQ, AOL IM, Games, Stock Application, ... |

How to know it works |
|
After the software launch, a tray icon will display. When it goes green instead of gray, or "Service" shows its port, that shows it works. |

Setting account |
|
When the first time runs the software, It needs a valid account to fill in.

Setting: |

[Proxy]
Give the information of current using proxy. If you are not sure, choose "Auto". It means detect from IE's proxy setting.
|
|
[Host]
If you want to share your host or intranet host to the internet, enable by check "Allow access this host". After you check it, "Host" at bottom will display a ip address, and others from outside can access the host you specified by "xxx.at.waysonline.net" or internal IP. e.g. Web assessing your host by typing "http://xxx.at.waysonline.net", which "xxx" is your account name.

[Setting]
"Service Port", To set socks and http proxy port, if conflict with other application.
"Enable access from others", To allow socks and http proxy access from intranet other PC.
"Enable DNS Query", provide a local DNS Server to resolve names. You must fill your IP or "localhost" to your PC's DNS Setting.

[Mapping]
Map a local port to an internet address and port. e.g. 110->mail.waysonline.com means map local port 110 to receive mail from mail.waysonline.com. After set outlook's pop3 mail server to localhost, you will receives mails from mail.waysonline.com
